We are a friendly family run Nursery in Haltwhistle "the Centre of Britain" located on a modern purpose-built site, in spacious and attractive surroundings ideally situated next to Haltwhistle First School and Sure Start Children's Centre Western Tynedale. Welcome to the Spring Term

We are open 50 weeks of the year.
Monday to Friday 7.30am - 6.00 pm.
Full & Half Day Sessions Available.
Breakfast/After School Sessions.
New children are required to attend a minimum of two sessions a week.

Child Care Vouchers / Tax Credits.

Does your employer offer Child Care Vouchers? We accept Computershare ( formerly Busy Bee ) and other childcare vouchers.

Childcare Vouchers allow £243 of your monthly salary to be exempt from tax and NICs towards our fees (and both parents can claim) so if yor employer doesn't have a scheme ask why..... Creating Excellence Outdoors Grant

We are delighted to say that we have received a grant for ‘Creating Excellence Outdoors’. We have used this money to update our 0-2 area garden by laying ‘soft pour’ surfacing to the area, which enables the children to play safely and access the area at all times. We are also going to be planting fruit and vegetable patches, in raised beds, which the children can help to look after, then Pam can cook us something lovely to eat, or we can just eat produce at snack time.

Every Child a Talker (ECAT)

We are also on the pilot of the ECAT (Every Child a Talker) scheme. Tracey Ridley, Team Leader, accepted the role of ELLP (Early Language Lead Practitioner) and all areas of speech and communication are being looked at. Tracey enjoyed an away day to the Early Excellence Centre at Huddersfield where many toys were purchased, with some of the money that came with the pilot.

Our Ofsted Report

Following our recent Ofsted report it was reported that the quality of our provision is good. The staff’s comprehensive knowledge of each child's individual needs and their firm commitment to safeguarding means children are making good progress in their learning and development. Strong partnerships with parents and other agencies further ensure an inclusive provision where all aspects of children's welfare and development are promoted successfully within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
